Peter Lee Hare October 25, 1959 - August 02, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Lower Sackville) HARE, Peter Lee - It is with deep sorrow that we, Peter's mother, father and sister, announce that our dearest son and brother passed away peacefully in his sleep at 6:30 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2004, in the Palliative Care Unit, VG Site, QEII. Peter fought a very courageous battle with cancer. Peter was born 1:55 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 1959, in Halifax. Peter was the beloved son of his parents, Evelyn (Gates) and Paul Hare. He was also a special friend and brother to his sister, Paula Hare; his aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends, and his Costco family will miss him. He previously worked at Bargain Harold's (Bridgewater), and the Bridgewater United Church. Up until his illness, he was employed for over 10 years at Costco. He will be fondly remembered for his diverse interests and hobbies; he loved to play chess on-line at, cards, and watching WWE Wrestling. He will be sadly missed by our companion animals, especially Pandora who loved wrestling as much as he did. Peter was a warm and generous person and he touched the lives of a great number of people. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him. A heartfelt thank you and appreciation to all the wonderful staff and volunteers at the Palliative Care Unit, 7A, VG Site, QEII. A very special thank-you to Peter's Costco family for all you have done. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. There will be no visitation by family request. A graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Lower Sackville, Rev. Robert Chapman officiating. Reception for all will follow in Knox United Church, Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. No flowers at the family's request. If so desired, a donation in Peter's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), or a charity of your choice. On-line condolences may be sent to the family by visiting:
