Henry "Harry" Charles Sheppard September 06, 1923 - December 16, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) SHEPPARD, Henry Charles "Harry" - Halifax. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harry on Thursday, December 16, 2004, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Halifax in 1923, he was a son of the late Ronald and Margaret (Countway) Sheppard. He was a very quiet man but had a terrific sense of humour and a quick wit. Harry attended Bloomfield School and the Nova Scotia Technical College. He was employed with the Halifax Shipyards as a Machinist Toolmaker and Estimator Planner. Later he joined the Department of Municipal Affairs as a Property Assessor in the City of Halifax. He was a member of the Athole Lodge and received his 50 year jewel and 55 year bar. He was a member of the Heart Smart Cardiac Group, a volunteer with the Open Heart Patient Support Group, and a member of the Photographic Guild of Nova Scotia. He loved traveling, boating, photography, making clocks and other crafts, and visits from his many little nieces and nephews. He is survived by his loving wife, Eileen (Deal); sister, Anna (Bob) Blundell; several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother, Edward; sister, Patricia Snow. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayer's Rd., Halifax, where visitation will be held today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 18, in Atlantic Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. The Very Reverend Austin Munroe officiating. Reception to follow in the family reception centre. Private family interment in Saint Margaret's of Scotland Cemetery, Glen Margaret.
