Pre-Christmas has been a time for us to reflect on hard times gone by, some we could not understand or forget, now families of our own, we sit in amazement of how you have done it, mostly on your own, hunger, cold, war, and death, have left scars on your heart like open sores. Though talked about, you have tried to hide it well, the loneliness for you must have been living hell. Your legacy is cast in all of us, it can be found in all our faces looking back at you in search of acquiring your lifetime of strength, to help see us through. All of what has been said is true, we all owe our yesterdays, tomorrows, and todays to you, our Mom and Nanny. Family will receive friends Wednesday, December 22, 2004, from 1:30 p.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. in the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated. Published in the Ottawa Citizen on 12/20/2004.
