Albénie P. Bourque 1906-2004 SCOUDOUC, NB - Albénie P. Bourque, 98, of the Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Scoudouc passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2004 at the Villa Providence. Born in Scoudouc, April 2, 1906, he was the son of the late Pierre and Mélina (Belliveau) Bourque. He was employed with C.N.R. as a section man for 43 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed carpentry, fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Golden Age Club in Scoudouc. Albénie is survived by a daughter, Ella Poirier (late Ulysse) of GrandeDigue; a son, Maurice (Rose-Marie) of Scoudouc; a brother, Emery of Ontario; 13 grandchildren, Marie-Marthe, Maurice, Murielle, Emile, Gérald, Cécile, Élise, Patrick Jr., Gérard, Shawn, Janice, Daniel, Gilles; 16 great grandchildren, Joanne, Carole, Lynn, Mathieu, Christopher, Joshua, Holly, Julie, Johnny, Shawn Jr., Sarah, Michael, Kelsy, Remi, Isabel, Mitchell and by a son-inlaw, Patrick Lannigan of Ontario. He was predeceased by his wife Velma (Gaudet) Bourque (2002); a daughter, Marie Lannigan and three brothers, Alphée, Henri and Arthur. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) with visiting hours on Friday from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Saturday from 9a.m. until time of departure at 9:40a.m. The funeral mass will be held at 10a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2004 at St. Jacques-le-Majeur Roman Catholic Church in Scoudouc. Interment in the parish cemetery. There will be a reception following the funeral mass at the Golden Age Club in Scoudouc. Donations in his memory may be made to the St. Jacques-le-Majeur Cemetery fund.
