John E. Steeves John E. Steeves, 86, of Villa du Repos and formerly of Sunny Acres, Moncton passed away at his residence on Sunday, December 19, 2004. Born in Indian Mountain, he was the son of the late Noble and Bertha (Horsman) Steeves. John was retired from the C.N.R. freight shed with 34 and a half years service. He was a member of MacLaughlin Drive Church of The Nazarene and The CN Pensioner's Assoc. He loved working with draft horses, repairing horse harnesses, woodworking and working in his vegetable garden. John will be sadly missed by his wife of 67 years, Pelma (Fillmore); daughter, Beverley Dixon, Moncton; grandchildren, Sherlyn, Adam and Kelly; great granddaughter, Morgan; sisters, Shirley MacKinnon (Harold), Saint John and Hilda Jones (Vaughan), Indian Mountain; brothers, Evans (Ruby), Douglas (Violet), Indian Mountain, Hedley, Earl (Geraldine), Ronald (Rena), William (Billy) (Yvonne), all of Moncton, David (Betty-Lou), Irishtown; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Francis, Claude and Ross. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Tuesday 2 to 4, 7 to 9. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, December 22, 2004, 1:30pm, Rev. Paul Black officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
