Gordon "Corky" Murray Galbraith January 09, 1941 - December 20, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Castle Funeral Home-Fallsview Chapel Gordon Murray (Corky) Galbraith went to be with the Lord on Monday December 20, 2004. He was the husband and friend of Ruthann (Murphy-Hurley) Galbraith. Left to mourn his sudden passing was his extended family, Heather and Paige Hurley, Joanne and Bria Edison, Scott and Kim, Brandon, Jill Hurley, Katharine, Tony and Shannon Chiasson.He also leaves to mourn, four children; Brenda Lee (Lorne) Evans and their children Jesse, Nathan and Tiffany, Lori (David) Dykeman, Ann Craft and her children Chelsea, Amy and Jeffery. Also Gordon had found a son Kendall (Shelly) Ewart with whom he had established a relationship. Also leaves his brother Vincent (Hilda) Galbraith and a sister Glenda (Bob) Tonge, many nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Glendon and Marie (Wilson) Galbraith. Gordon worked as a heavy equipment operator and longshoreman most of his life. He was also a friend of Bill W. He loved all his grandchildren with great passion, both his own and his extended family. Thanks to special friends Lyn and Joyce Lawrence, Harry Anderson and Michael MacFarlane, to name only a few who helped Gord in his last few years. Gordon enjoyed many outdoor activies and was a member of the I.L.A., and was active in the Orange Lodge currently serving as the Worshipfull Master LOL #29 and Saint John County Lodge also a member of the Royal Black Knights. Visitation at CASTLE "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701) Tuesday 7-9 pm and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday at Fallsview Chapel. Interment will be in the Lorneville Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Lorneville United Church Hall. Donations may be made to the Thomas Woods Memorial Playground or a charity of the donors choice. An LOL and LOBA Memorial Service will be held at the Funeral Home Wednesday at 7 pm.
