Roy William Jollimore April 17, 1923 - December 20, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) JOLLIMORE, Roy William - 81, Terence Bay, passed away December 20, 2004, in the VG Site, QEII. Born in Terence Bay, April 17, 1923, he was a son of the late Irene (Smith) and Morton Jollimore. He was a fisherman before becoming co-owner and founder of Terence Bay Fisheries where he worked until his retirement. He lived life to the fullest. He was always telling jokes and could put a smile on your face even at the saddest of times. He enjoyed playing bingo and 45s and he couldn't pass by a store without stopping in and buying scratch tickets. His goal in life was to win the lottery so all of his family would be well looked after. Children were like a breath of fresh air to him. He was always surrounded by his grandkids and great-grandkids and their friends, who too, called him granddad. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ada (Slaunwhite); son, Barry (Lynn Hunnakko); daughters, Rosie Morash (Hector), Sharon Slaunwhite (Granville Morash), Pauline Slaunwhite (Brian), Brenda Jollimore (John Bartlett); grandchildren, Kevin Morash (Tracy), Jimmy Morash (Amy), Jody Slaunwhite (Candace), Marty Jollimore (April), Angie Slaunwhite (Mike), David Slaunwhite (Jennifer), Josh Slaunwhite, Jordan Bartlett, and his special little angel Joely Bartlett; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Brooke Morash, Ashley and Owen Morash, Taylor and Cameron Slaunwhite, Connor Slaunwhite and Katie Jollimore; sister, Hallie (the late Allison Slaunwhite); brother, Clifford Jollimore; brother-in-law, Ancil Slaunwhite; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Rosie; brother, Charles; mother-in-law, Geraldine Slaunwhite. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd, Halifax. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul's Anglican Church, Terence Bay, Rev. Lisa Vaughan officiating. Reception to follow in Terence Bay Firehall. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Paul's Anglican Church, Terence Bay.
