GRAHAM, Ian A. Ian died peacefully after a short illness on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga at the age of 76. He is sadly missed by twin brother Allan (Joyce), sister Charlotte Craig (late Harry) and brother Stewart (Olga), nephews, niece and cousins. Predeceased by his parents, Mabel and Gordon Graham, and brother Don (Anne). Ian, a graduate of Glebe CI and Carleton University, was a proud member of the GGFG and RCEME, serving in Canada's first UN peacekeeping mission to the Gaza Strip, 1957/58. After his military service, Ian travelled the world, mostly at a height of 300 feet, carrying out aerial magnetometer and other surveys with Canadian Aero, Spartan Air Services and Kenting Earth Sciences. He retired in 1990 to pursue his knowledgeable interest in mining, geography, Canadian and world history, and solving complex mathematical problems. Those wishing may attend the Beechwood Cemetery Offices on Tuesday, July 21 from 10:30 a.m. until time of internment in the National Military Cemetery, Ottawa, on Tuesday, July 21 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow.
