UNRUH, MARY V. (nee Lynch) of Pinehurst, Massachusetts, age 84, passed away on December 23rd, 2004, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Mass. She was pre-deceased by her husband Heinz Unruh, originally of Stuttgart, Germany. Born in Saint John, Mary was the daughter of the late Harold F. Lynch and Pearl Clare (Chandler) Lynch. She is survived by three sisters, Eva Veronica Bell, (the late Dalton Bell) Helen Ann Shannon, (Gerard), Sarah Elizbeth Wilson (Gordon), and one brother Father Walter Lynch, recently retired pastor of St. Peter and St. Paul Parish, Bartibog, N. B., as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary was a graduate of St. Vincent's Girls High School and Modern Business College. She was employed by Wiezels Shoe Store and Kennedy's Shoe Store in Saint John, and then by the Credit Bureau of Boston, and the Electronic Corporation of America. In her youth, Mary was a member of the CYO Drama Club. She was noted mainly as a character actress, for her roles in local production. She won several awards for her character roles as a participant in local, provincial and regional drama festivals. She was active in her church, and she loved to travel. Her family and many friends will miss Mary, especially her life-long friend Audrey (Leger) Dunaway, formerly of Saint John, Jack Dunaway and David Dunaway. Resting at Sweeney's Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Road, Billerica, Massachusetts, visitation from 4 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2004. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, Pinehurst, Massachusetts, at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2004. A memorial mass will be celebrated in Saint John at a date to be announced, interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Saint John.
