GRANT, VALDA IRENE The passing of Valda Irene Grant of Oromocto occurred Sunday August 8th 2004 at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. She was 86. Born in Doaktown NB, she was the daughter of the late Frank & Florence (Storey) O'Donnell. A homemaker and Anglican by faith, she spent several years at Davidson Lake and later Everett Campground as well as being a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4 Ladies Auxiliary. Survived by one son; Arthur Grant (Anne) of Fredericton, one daughter Judy (Perrin) Grant (Harold) of Oromocto, 3 brothers Harold O'Donnell (Olive) of Fredericton, Vance O'Donnell (Pearl) of Fredericton, Lorry O'Donnell (Maxine) of Fredericton, one sister Jean (Nan) McDonald of Fredericton, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her Husband Donald Fraser Grant, & one brother Blaine O'Donnell. The family will receive friends at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with Charles Betts officiating. Interment to follow in the Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4 Ladies Auxiliary or the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4 Ladies Auxiliary will hold a tribute service at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 7 pm.
