Albert Horace John Fawcett May 28, 1919 - December 27, 2004 Peacefully, on Monday, December 27, 2004, Albert passed away at the Grace General Hospital, surrounded by his family, at the age of 85 years. He was born in Folkestone, Kent, England on May 28, 1919. Albert is survived by his loving wife Theresa, of 51 years of marriage; sons, Greg and John (Jennifer); daughters, Deborah (Bill Davis), Elizabeth MacDonald (Dan Bracke) and Sandra (Eric Garsonnin) who loved him dearly. He is lovingly remembered by grandchildren, Jason MacDonald (Heather Reimer), David MacDonald (Lori Ann Rochon), Andrew Fawcett and Nadine Bracke-Nand; great-grandchildren, Caleb MacDonald, Zachary Bracke-Nand, Brittany Bracke-Nand and Hanna Rochon; brother Leslie (Martha); sister Denise Avery; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; especially his friend of 80 years, Bob Van Camp and his family, who were a cherished part of Al’s life. Albert was predeceased by his parents; brother Roy (Lorna) and brother-in-law Earl Avery. A Celebration of Al’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 1 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 3830 Roblin Blvd., with Rev. Gordon Dixon officiating. Interment will take place in the spring. Our family would like to thank Dr. Gooi, Dr. Joshua, Dr. Borrett, Dr. Murray and staff of 5 North at Grace General Hospital and especially homecare caregivers, Jackie, Maida and Kim for their dedicated and compassionate care of Dad. In lieu of flowers, donations in Albert’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Suite 200, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6.
