Joseph Patrick Redwood April 13, 1939 - December 28, 2004 It is with profound sadness that we the family announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Joseph (Patrick) on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at Seven Oaks General Hospital. Joseph was born on April 13, 1939 to Joseph and Tina Redwood in Broadview, Saskatchewan and was very proud of his native heritage. Home to him was the Cowessess First Nation Band. Previously called home by The Creator were his parents Joseph and Tina, his step-mother Flora, brothers David (Bush), Ed (Shorty), Francis (Sailor) and younger sister Edith and other significant family members. Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving daughter Patti Jones and the apples of his eye, his beautiful granddaughters Alicia and Brandi Jones; his beloved brothers and sisters, Josephine, Romeo (Irene) Yvonne, Freida, Dinah, Morley (Liz) and Bruce; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joseph was known to be a very hard worker in any task he performed throughout his lifetime. He was dedicated to his family and made all he came in contact with feel very special. Special thanks need to be given to all the many caregivers he had throughout his illness but especially to Dr. Lerner, Wendy Turner and Warren Santiago in the I.C.U. at S.O.G.H. Your caring and compassion will never be forgotten. Wake services will be held at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Avenue on Thursday, December 30th, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Another wake will be held on Sunday, January 2nd, 2005 at the Cowessess First Nation, Broadview, Saskatchewan. Joseph's funeral service will take place on Monday, January 3rd at 1:00 p.m. at the Cowessess First Nation Band Hall, Broadview, Saskatchewan.
