Mrs Catherine Willett Funeral arrangements by V J McGilivray Funeral Homes (Glace Bay) Mrs Catherine "Kate" Willett, 87, passed away Wednesday December 29, 2004 at the Seaview Manor Nursing Home, Glace Bay. Born in Baleine, Cape Breton, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Kennedy) Burke. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Kate lived a very simple life and quite life devoted to her family. She enjoyed music which was a great part of her family's life and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. She was a member of St. Anthony's Church for many years and later attended St. Anne's Church, Glace Bay. Mrs Willett is survived by daughters: Sally (Fred) Jones, Amherst, Grace McPherson (Glace Bay), one son Joseph (Deana) Coxheath; also grandchildren Cheryl, Dean, Kent, Heather, Greg, Shaun, Michelle, Charlene, Jolene, and Freddie; greatgrandchildren Cassandra, Ryan, Katelyn, Nathan, Mekayla, Maya. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband George, a son Freddie and a daughter Libby in infancy. Visitation will be in the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay on Friday form 2-4. 7-9, Funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday in St Anthony's Church with Fr. Peter LeBlanc officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Condolences to the family will be received at
