Thelma Muriel Stingley (née Haugen) - February 27, 1919 - August 11, 2004 - surrounded by her loving family, passed away peacefully in the devoted care of the palliative care unit at the Edmonton General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Thelma treasured her independence and maintained her home in the Highlands until her illness in January. She loved hockey and spent countless hours cheering the grandchildren on. Thelma was also a loyal Oilers fan and attended numerous games over the years.
