Leonard Joseph Gaudet - November 18, 1917 - August 17, 2004 - aged 86, Halifax, died Tuesday, August 17, 2004, in Camp Hill Veterans' Memorial Building, QEII. Born in Kinkora, P.E.I., he was a son of the late Angelina and Joseph Gaudet. He served in the Second World War with the Prince Edward Island Highlanders and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 25, for 29 years. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Florence (Drover) Gaudet; daughters, Marie (Donald) Holland, Eastern Passage; Barbara (Paul) Starkey, Eastern Passage; sons, David (Jean), Halifax; Barry (Deborah), Halifax; Bruce (Donna), Halifax; Darrell (Deborah), Halifax; Gary (Ruby), Dartmouth; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Anthony, John, George; sister, Carrie Goss. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Friday in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., where funeral will be held 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Donations in Leonard's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
