Ethel Elizabeth Ostapchuk (née Zettl) - August 25, 1917 - August 23, 2004 - long-time resident of Lloydminster passed away peacefully on Monday, August 23, 2004, two days before her 87th birthday at St. Peter’s Colony. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry; brothers, Alex, Geza and Deszo Nagy; and sister, Helen Kun. Ethel leaves to cherish her memory her loving family: daughters, Gloria (Al) Dzuba and Audrey (Harold) Zettl; sons, Gary (Janice) Ostapchuk, and Glenn Ostapchuk; grandchildren, Debra, Roberta, Darwin, Brent, Lynne, Blair, Mary Ann, Brad, Gerina, Naomi, Ben, Sarah, Nadine, Julie, Craig, Jason, Shawn, Danny, Neil and Angie; twenty-one great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Albert, Esther, Rose, Bertha, Julia, Arthur, Emma and Lily; plus numerous nieces and nephews. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Peter’s Colony (Near Kronau) on Friday, August 27, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Louis Abello as Celebrant. Viewing will begin at 12:00 p.m. Because Ethel was known as the “Flower Lady”, people are welcome to bring a flower in her memory to the service.
