Blanche Morin (nee: Poliquin), of Hearst - Date of Death: September 2nd, 2004 - , 97, was held Sept. 6, 2004. She died Sept. 2 at the Foyer des Pionniers Nursing Home. Born Sept. 23, 1906 in Ste-Rose, Quebec, she came to the Hearst area in 1924. Predeceased by husband Séraphin Morin in 1964, she leaves daughters Yolande (Léo) Lacroix of Barraute, Que., Raymonde (Paul Hébert), Annette (Réal) Jacques, and Nicole (Pierre Meunier) Morin, all of Hearst, Soeur Marcelle Morin of Nairobi, Africa, Jeannine (Raymond) Montpetit of Hinton, Alberta, and Marielle (Michael) Lizotte of Toronto, and sons Renald (Michelle) of Toronto, Marc (Colette) of Hearst and Roch (Hélène) Morin of Montréal. Also surviving are sisters Françoise Faucher of Kapuskasing and Micheline Arsenault of Alliston, Ont., 24 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Rev. Rémi Lessard directed the service at Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption Cathedral. Interment followed at Monsignor Grenier Cemetery. Funeral director was the Salon Lafrance Funeral home. Commemorative donations may be made to the Foyer home.
