Earl Charles Keddy July 17, 1923 - July 20, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) KEDDY, Earl Charles - Passed away in Dartmouth General Hospital on July 20, 2004, after a long, hard battle with COPD. Born in Imperoyal Village, he was a son of the late Albert and Elsie Keddy. Earl served overseas during the Second World War with the Canadian Army and upon coming home, returned to work at the Imperial Oil Refinery. After retiring from the plant in 1982, he spent most of his time at their home in Upper Stewiacke. Earl enjoyed dancing, gardening, puttering around his garage and many coffee breaks. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Somme Branch 31. Earl is survived by daughters, Marilyn Keddy, Karen (Blaine) Conrod; son, Mark; cherished by grandchildren, Kelly, Terry, and Jeffery. He will also be missed by family pet, Amber. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret (June 21, 2004); brothers, Roy and Clarence. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, July 22. Memorial and Legion service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, all in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, Rev. Patricia Malin officiating with reception to follow. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Stewiacke.
