OIKLE, Cyril S. ---– In loving memory of Cyril Oikle, 74 years. The family announces with sorrow his death on Thursday October 21, 2004 at SRH-Laurentian Site. Cyril was born in Upper Cornwall, Nova Scotia, and has been a resident of Dowling for over 40 yrs. He worked at Falconbridge as a miner for over thirty years retiring in 1986. He was a devoted family man, but still enjoyed fishing on Onaping Lake, as well as hunting and playing euchre. Cyril will always be remembered for his sense of humour. Beloved husband of Joan Oikle (née Felhaber) of Dowling. Father of Brian (Tina) of Dowling, Beverley (Randy), Barbara (Karen) both of Sudbury and Bonnie (Wayne) of Nobel. Sadly missed and cherished Grandpa of Andrew, Kevin, Craig, Sandra, Erik, Scott, Kaylin and Cathan and great grandpa of Blake. Dear brother of Carl (Emma) of Azilda, Floyd (Joyce) of Sudbury, Ellery (Julie) of Verner, Harris (Betty-Lou) of Chatham, Franklin and Faye both of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by his brothers Glen and Maurice. Brother-in -law of Pauline Oikle, Betty Taylor, Marion Oikle, Maureen (Bernie Leduc), Dale Lauzor, Glenn (Mary Felhaber), Dorothy Felhaber and Carl (predeceased) Dear uncle to several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their thanks to the many kind and caring people at the Sud. Regional Hospital and Greater Sudbury E.M.S.. Resting at JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME. Funeral service will be held in the R.J. Barnard Chapel on Sunday, October 24, 2004 at 3 p.m.. Interment at Maple Crest Cemetery.
