Charles William "Bill" Johnson , of Owens Township - Date of Death: October 27th, 2004 - died at Sensenbrenner Hospital on Oct. 27, 2004. He was 71 years old. Mr. Johnson was born on April 3, 1933 in Cochrane and arrived in the area 1951. He worked as an electrician for Spruce Falls until retiring in 1991. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He was a member of the Legion and La Forge and a chartered member of St. John’s Church. Mr. Johnson was predeceased by brother Eric Johanson, brothers-in-law Leslie Fisher and Edward Jeffrey and sister-in-law Ida Johanson. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Betty), sons William Karl (Ellen) of Kirkland Lake, Robert Thomas (Diane) and James Edward, both of Kap and daughter Barbara Elizabeth (William Janik) of Thunder Bay. Also surviving are sisters Margaret Fisher of Kap and Ellen Jeffrey of Goderich, brother Thomas (Ilda) of Thunder Bay, five granddaughters and one great granddaughter. The funeral was held at St. John’s Presbyterian Church. Mr. Johnson will be interred at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. Donations may be made to the oncology department at Sensenbrenner Hospital, La Forge Jos Godin or St. John’s Church. Funeral director was the Guenette Funeral Home.
