Marie Colette Plourde (nee: Fournier) , of Hearst - Date of Death: November 20th, 2004 - The memorial service for Marie Colette (née Fournier) Plourde, 67, of 1208 Prince St. was held (yesterday) Nov. 23, 2004. She died at Note-Dame Hospital, Nov. 20, following a six-month bout with cancer. Born Sept. 13, 1937 in St-Hubert, Quebec, she came to Carey Lake west of Hearst in 1959, and later resided in Hudson briefly, and Calstock in 1960 before moving to Hearst in 1989. A jovial, qentle, generous person, she was a member of Les Filles d'Isabelle and UCFO, and enjoyed knitting, cards, cooking, and hosting socials. Predeceased by her infant daughter Line Plourde in 1965 and a son Guy of Hearst in 2000, she leaves her husband Jean-Eudes Plourde and sons André (Sylvie), Yves and Claude Plourde, all of Hearst. Also surviving are her brother Normand (Hermine) Fournier of Thunder Bay, granddaughters Amanda, Valérie and Angélique, grandsons James and Gabriel, great grandsons A.J., Eric and Shawn, and several nieces and nephews. Cremation was done at Hillcrest Crematorium. Reverends Jean-Roch Pelletier of Hearst and Jean-Guy Mailloux of Moonbeam were to direct the service at Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption Cathedral. Interment will follow at Monsignor Grenier Cemetery. Funeral director was the Salon Lafrance Funeral Home. Commemorative donations may be made to the Foyer des Pionniers Nursing Home.
