Pierrette Kmet (Leduc) , of Kapuskasing - Date of Death: November 27th, 2004 - 13 Park Cres., Kapuskasing, died at Sensenbrenner Hospital on Nov. 27, 2004. She was 67 years old. Mrs. Kmet was born on Feb. 19, 1937 in Masson, Quebec. She worked as a housewife. She was a member of the Kap Jubilee Singers and the St. Patrick’s Church Catholic Women’s League as well as the St. Pat’s Choir. She enjoyed photography, cooking, baking and sewing, as also taught Sunday School at St. Patrick’s Church. Her family added that Pierrette was an active member of many organizations in the community and will be missed by her fellow volunteers and those whose lives she touched. Mrs. Kmet was predeceased by her husband Edward, brother Andre, sister Bérangère and parents Bérangère and Victor Leduc. She is survived by daughters Katherine (Johnston) Hall of Courtice and Ruthann (Lee) Dubien of Kapuskasing, sister Micheline Lortie of Wellington, brother Gilles Leduc of Azilda and grandchildren Stephen, Sasha and Mark. Fr. Fernand Villeneuve will direct the funeral Dec. 14 at St. Patrick’s Church. Cremation at the Hillcrest Crematorium. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral director was the Guenette Funeral Home.
