Francis Chapman, 58 SWEETS CORNERS -- Francis William Dwayne Chapman, 58, died October 27 at Providence Continuing Care Centre, St. Vincent de Paul Site. He was ill for two years. He was born March 5, 1946 in Sweets Corners (RR 2, Lyndhurst)) to Joseph Chapman and the former Vida Langridge. He grew up on the farm on Sweets Corners Road and attended Sweets Corners Public School and Rideau District High School in Elgin. He was employed by Ault's milk delivery and drove a milk truck. He was also a volunteer firefighter with the Seeleys Bay fire department. He is survived by his mother, still in hospital in Kingston, his companion Heather Langille, son Aaron, daughter Mataya, brother John and wife Helen and nieces Sherrie McClean and husband Byron and their daughter Olivia McClean, Jennifer Feireina and husband Marc, and David and Crystal Chapman. Also surviving are four aunts, Irene Dawson of Lyndhurst, Vera Serson of Brockville, Lorna Langridge of Calgary and Irene Reid of Cardiff, South Wales; an uncle Fred Langridge and wife Dorothy of Picton, and many cousins. He was predeceased by his father Joseph Chapman, cousin Carolyn Ubdegrove and uncle Kenneth of Calgary. The funeral was held October 30 at St. John's Church (Leeds), Sweets Corners, with Rev. Reg Gilbert officiating. The pallbearers were Herb Mainse, Tracey McConnell, Richard Langille and John Chapman. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery.
