Madeline Sullivan, 87 Madeline Sullivan, 87, died October 2 at Brockville General Hospital after being in failing health for a year. She was born July 13, 1917 in Lyn, the daughter of Michael Fodey and the former Harriett Leeder. She was raised and educated in Lyn. She came to the Brockville area as a teenager and worked as a secretary, first at Percival's store and then for many years at Cow and Gate. She retired at age 65. She married Joseph Ambrose Sullivan on September 20, 1947 in St. Francis Xavier Church. She was a member of that church and its Catholic Women's League (CWL) the rest of her life. Mrs. Sullivan is survived by a niece and a nephew, five great nieces and one great nephew, and five great-great nieces and four great-great nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph and four sisters, Nora, Dora, Alys and Margaret. Friends called at the Irvine Funeral Home, Brockville, on October 4, and members of the St. Francis CWL held a rosary service for her. The funeral was held October 5 in St. Francis Xavier Church, with Father Brian Price officiating. Burial followed at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. The pallbearers were Mark Blanchard, Ian Marion, Mike Major, David Hone, Brent Irvine and Matt Wren.
