Donna Davy, 66 Donna Yvonne Davy, 66, of RR 5, Brockville (Fairfield) died November 18 at her residence. She had been ill for two months with a diabetes related illness. She was born April 5, 1938 in Nottawasaga Township to George Leslie Walker and the former Gertrude Ethel Blackburn. She was raised in Stayner, Ont., and attended public school there and high school in Collingwood. She married Bruce Emerson Davy on October 10, 1958 in Finton Road Presbyterian Church, Orillia. Theirs was the first wedding in that church. The family operated the Davy Funeral Home in Brockville. In 1983 they moved to a farm on Fairfield Road. In recent years she and her husband built up a successful pick-your-own blueberries operation. She was an adherent of Christ United Church, Lyn, and a former member of the Brockville Country Club. An avid reader, she also loved birds, animals, horse racing, curling and camping. She was a private person who enjoyed her home and family. She had travelled to both coasts and made several trips to Florida. Mrs. Davy is survived by her three sons, Barry and wife Nancy of North Carolina, Rick of RR 5, Brockville and Grant and wife Heather of Lyn, one daughter Sherri Erickson and husband Leif of RR 3, Brockville, and six grandchildren, Dan, Lindsay, Eric, Marshall, Josh and Melissa. Also surviving are four sisters-in-law, Noreen and Bill Botham of Newmarket, Anna Davy of Oshawa, Pat Lemaire and husband Chuck of Johnstown and Flora Johnstone and husband Lloyd of Elmvale. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Arthur Walker. The funeral was held November 20 at the Barclay Funeral Home, Brockville, with Pastor Laurence Croswell officiating. Her son Barry gave the eulogy. Cremation was arranged. Memorial donations were directed to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society and Heart and Stroke Foundation.
