Lillian Leblanc (née Klein) March 25, 1916 - July 16, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Desjardins Funeral Chapel LILLIAN LEBLANC (nee Klein) Lillian Leblanc passed away peacefully at the age of 88 years on July 16, 2004 at the Concordia Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Harry Leblanc, mother and father Joseph and Pauline Klein and sisters Elsie, Sebina and June. Her sister Irene and brother Fred, nieces and nephews whom she cherished as her own children, as well as many relatives from the Leblanc family survive Lillian. Her life began on March 25, 1916 in Forrest, Saskatchewan. She moved to Winnipeg as a young lady, worked at the Coffee Spot Café and later worked as an elevator person at the Child’s Building, and also filling orders for National Drug Warehouse. Then she met her love of her life, Harry and had many good times with friends at their Bird Lake Cottage. They moved to Surrey, B.C. and enjoyed many happy retirement years together, they also traveled to various parts of the country as well as the south. The family wishes to thank the wonderful service that Lillian received at the River East Personal Care Home for the past six years. Donations greatly declined. If so desired, a memorial donation can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 4G2 or The Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2L 1X3. Alzheimer’s Prayer Dear Lord, Please grant my visitors tolerance for my confusion, Forgiveness for my irrationality And strength to walk with me into the mist of memory my world has become. Please help them take my hand and stay awhile Even though I seem unaware of their presence. Help them know their strength and loving care will drift softly into the days to come Just when I need it most. Let them know when I don’t recognize them, that I will, I will… Keep their hearts free of sorrow For me…for my sorrow, when it comes, Only lasts a moment – then it’s gone. And finally Lord, Please let them know how very much their visits mean, How even through this relentless mystery – I feel their love. Peace is with you dear sister and auntie Lil. We love you forever. Funeral services will be held at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street, on Wednesday, July 21 at 1:00 p.m. immediately followed by a reception. Interment will then take place at Green Acres Cemetery, Hwy. #1 E. at Navin. The Desjardins Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 233-4949 or toll free 1-888-233-4949.
