Susan Elizabeth Greenlees On October 1, 2004, Susan Elizabeth Greenlees (nee Thompson) was guided by her angels after a 7 year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was greeted at the gates of heaven by her parents Hilda (nee James) and Gerry Thompson, her nephew Adam Thompson and father-in-law Morris Greenlees. Susan grew up in Kingston attending Lord Strathcona P.S. and Loyalist Collegiate V.I. After graduating from `Early Childwood Education' at St. Lawrence College she enjoyed working with the children at Gananoque Nursery School. In 1976, Susan married her best friend and the love of her life, Gary Greenlees. With love, they built their family home on Woodburn Road in Joyceville. This loving union was blessed with the birth of their two s ons, Justin and Cole. Susan was an involved and devoted mother who volunteered at Joyceville Public School. She has always been very proud of `her boys'. A special part of her heart was touched by her step son Tim Greenlees, his wife Karen and their sons, Ben and Zach. Susan joined the family business, Gary Greenlees Meats, full-time in 1989. She was a hard working member of the team who always added her special touch and enjoyed spending time with customers. Susan was a kind, compassionate woma n who had phenomenal faith. She attended St. James Anglican Church in Pittsburg Township. She displayed incredible strength and always maintained her sense of humour. Susan told those she loved that her spirit would remain with us always. Susan was a dearly loved daughter-in-law of Helen Greenless. She was a special sister to Wayne and Linda, Gary and Bev and Janis, sister-in-law of Jack and Caroline, Ted and Theresa, Bill and Darlene and Julie and Al. She will be missed by many aunts, uncles, n ieces, nephews and cousins. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, teacher and friend. She will be lovingly remembered in the hearts of those whose lives she touched. `Make yourself familiar with the angels and behold them frequently in sp irit; for without being seen, they are present with you' - St. Francis de Sales. - 12/4/2004 -
