Robert "Bob" William Eady September 30, 1931 - July 11, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Jenkens Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre Mr. Robert (Bob) William Eady, aged 72 years, resident of Thunder Bay, passed away on Sunday, July 11. Born in Port Arthur on September 30, 1931, he was the son of the late Norman and Noella Eady. Bob was married to Doreen Gallinger in 1964. He retired from the CPR in November of 1989 and maintained a life long love of the railroad. He was a devoted volunteer with the Shelter House, a beloved crossing guard and a regular fixture at the Gardens where he was employed as security. Bob is predeceased by his wife Doreen (2000), sisters-in-law Bernice Ryan (2004) and Teresa Lariviere (2000). Survived by his son Norman (Betty) and daughter Susan, sister-in-law Marie Elvish, brothers-in-law Roy Gallinger (Darlene), Richard Gallinger (Carol), Harold Gallinger (Rita) and Gilbert Gallinger as well as nieces, nephews and many good friends. Prayers will take place at 7:00 p.m. on July 15, 2004 in the chapel of Jenkens Funeral Home with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services for Mr. Robert Eady will be held on Friday, July 16, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Roman Catholic Church. Interment to take place on Saturday, July 17, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Shelter House, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated.
