Florence Louise McKittrick January 18, 1912 - October 21, 2004 McKITTRICK, Florence Louise In her 93rd year, October 21, 2004, peacefully with her family by her side. Predeceased by her husband Leo P. (1962). Beloved mother of Catherine McDermott, Elaine Griffin and her husband Robert, Patricia McKittrick, Mary Hawkeswood and her husband Victor, Helen McKittrick, Lil McCullough and her husband Paul, Michael and his wife Mary, and Kevin. Grandmother of Emily, Andrew, John Allen, Ed, Jonathon, Noah, Cezanne, Aimee, Kelly, Stephanie, Kevin, Andrew and Natalie. Great grandmother to Riley. Dear sister of Katherine McDermott and predeceased by her brothers James, Albert and Gene McDermott. Florence was a teacher for 33 years with The Windsor Essex Catholic School Board. She was an active member for many years at Holy Name of Mary Parish where she was a member of the C.W.L. and Parish Council and served on a number of various committees within the church. Deepest appreciation and thanks to the staff of Extendicare, Southwood Lakes, especially Natalie Kosluk for your compassion and care. Visitation will be held at the Janisse Bros – Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Ave. (253-5225) from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday with parish prayers at 8 p.m. Sunday. Family and friends are requested to meet at Sacred Heart Church, LaSalle for further visitation from 10 a.m. Monday October 25 until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Father Paré officiating. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to The Catholic Missions c/o Sacred Heart Church, LaSalle. A tree will be planted in memory of Florence McKittrick in the Janisse Bros – Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September 25, 2005. All are welcome. Family and friends are requested to sign the Book of Condolence and share their memories at www.obituariestoday.com
