Lucille leaves many behind to celebrate her life. She is survived by her loving husband Thomas McRae and her 3 children; Correne McRae of Calgary, Keith McRae and his wife Pamela of Calgary, and Graeme McRae and his wife Danielle and1 grandson of Penticton. She also leaves behind 3 sisters and 1 brother. Beatrice and Gary Tabler of Sherwood Park, Rita and Don Degenhardt of Spruce Grove, Marcia and Dallas Degenhart of Edgerton and Roger and Karen Sonntag of Calgary. Many thanks to Lucille’s caregivers, especially her family doctor Dr. Paul Marner. We are also grateful to all the staff at the Cross Cancer Institute who have given much support and care in Lucille’s battle over the last decade; most especially over the last 2 weeks. Lucille would know and understand this level of compassion from her own work as a nurse with the Glenrose Hospital for so many years. The care and compassion shown by all these people as well as the countless family and friends who have given so much support. A special thanks to those family members and friends who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in providing so much compassion and comfort for our Lucille. We can now feel much peace in that we know that Lucille is free of pain and is meeting the many she was looking forward to seeing. As per our family wishes a Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2004 at 7:00pm at St. Dominic Savio Parish 14406-62 Street, Edmonton. To celebrate Lucille’s life on Monday, October 11, 2004 at 11:00 am will be the Funeral Mass again at St. Dominic’s with Reverend Bernard Gilliece, SDB officiating.
