Mr. Lorne Michael Duggan December 20, 1946 - July 30, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel (Tecumseh) Duggan, Lorne Michael 57 years, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2004 at his home in Windsor (formerly of Amherstburg) surrounded by family and friends after a hard-fought, courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband, soul partner, the light of my life, and best friend of Kathleen (nee Henderson). Loving father and best friend of Colin and wife Becky, of LaSalle; Katherine and husband Jeff Renaud, of Windsor. Dear son of the late Harry and Mima (nee McBride). Grandfather of soon-to be baby Duggan and baby Renaud. Dear brother of Jane and husband Keith Gorman and the late Geraldine and husband Fred McColeman (1989) all of Terrace Bay, Ont. Lorne will be sadly missed by his nephew Jim Milne, and very special sister-in-law Margaret Creek, as well as his other nieces and nephews, and best friends Ron and Maureen McFadden and family. Lorne was a dedicated employee to the late Bob Smith (2002), who was a former owner of Essex Service Machine Tool Company where Lorne then became the proud owner. He was a dedicated coach for many years of the Amherstburg Minor Soccer Association. Lorne loved vacationing in the north as well as vacationing with his family. Visiting Tuesday, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Prayers Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. followed by a sharing time. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. from The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Rd., Tecumseh (735-2830) to St. Anne Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Robert Couture will be the celebrant. Cremation. As your expression of sympathy, a donation to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre or to the Hospice of Windsor would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Lorne Duggan in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 26, 2004. All are welcome.
