BURNS, AUDRIE LORAINE - With deep sorrow we announce the passing of Audrie Loraine Burns, 13 February 2004, peacefully at home, 162 Sydney St, Saint John, NB. Born in Calgary, 2 November 1921 to Percival MacKenzie Vincent and Christina Hardie (Young) Vincent, Audrie resided most of her life in Edmonton. Audrie was the founding President and volunteered for 30 years at the Society of Capital Care Norwood Auxiliary and will be fondly remembered by all those she worked with and cared for. For the last years she enjoyed companionship with her daughters, and the company of friends. Service was the keynote of her life; she never spared herself when she could help another along life's way. She will be much missed. Pre-deceased by her husband Gerald James Burns, she is survived by two daughters, Dr. Janet Burns of Saint John, and Mrs. Sandra (Luis) Merino, three grandchildren, Christopher James (Rebecca) Merino, Demian Merino, Adan Merino and three great grandchildren, all of Victoria. In her last act of kindness, Audrie donated her remains to Dalhousie University Medical School. In tribute to her memory the family requests donations to the Society of Capital Care Norwood Auxiliary, 10410-111 Ave, Edmonton.
