HANLON, FREDERICK GEORGE - The death of Frederick George Hanlon of 880 Danells Drive, West Saint John, NB; occurred Saturday February 14th, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the youngest son of the late James and Lillian (George) Hanlon. He was a cook by trade. He was a former member of the Fairville Oldtimers Pool League and a member of the Irish Canadian Cultural Association. He fulfilled his dream of going to Ireland in 2001. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends and his extended family of 880 Danells Drive. Fred is survived by his sisters Mrs. Mary (Arthur) Bordage, Sr. Veronica Hanlon (SCIC) both of Saint John and Mrs. Helen (The late James) Boyle of Bathurst. Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers Joseph and John and a sister Lillian. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 18th, 2004 at St. Peters Church, Clarendon Street at a time to be announced later. The interment will take place later in the spring in Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
