RING, DARYL AUSTIN - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday February 17, 2004. Daryl Austin Ring of Quispamsis, husband of Nora (Murchison) Ring. Born in Saint John a son of the late Edward and Alice (Graham) Ring. Educated in Saint John graduating from Saint John High, the Provincial Normal School Fredericton, Missionary Training School in Nyack, New York and received his Masters Degree from New York University. A veteran of Second World War having served with the Royal Canadian Airforce as a Wireless Air Gunner, Royal Airforce 76 Squadron. He and his wife Nora of 47 years served in Malawi Africa with the Africa Evangelical Fellowship (SIM) for 34 years. He attended the Rothesay Baptist and Christian and Missionary Alliance Churches. Surviving in addition to his wife Nora, one son: John and his wife Karen Ring of Grand Bay/Westfield and one daughter: Elizabeth and her husband Bob Chambers of Quispamsis, eight grandchildren: Ryan, Sarah, Tammy, Michael, Tim, Becky and her husband Lyle, Ben and Laura, one sister: Hazel Ross of Saint John, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by four brothers; Ronald, Eldon, Earle and Jim, three sisters; Alice, Helen and Margaret. Resting at CASTLE " Kings Chapel" Funeral Home, 154 Old Hampton Road, Rothesay (849-1702). Funeral service will be held 2 pm Friday, February 20, 2004 at the Rothesay Baptist Church. Visitation will be at "Kings Chapel" on Wednesday 7-9 pm and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Interment will be in Polly Cemetery, PEI in the spring. Memorial donations may be made to the Gideons, Canadian Diabetic Association or charity of the donor's choice.
