PERKINS, MURIEL IRENE - Muriel Irene (Kirkpatrick) Perkins of Hoyt passed away peacefully at the Oromocto Public Hospital on February 19, 2004 at the age of 81. Muriel is survived by two daughters; Janet Johnston (John) and Susan Mersereau (Ronald) both of Hoyt, one son Gary Perkins (Ena) of Lower Millstream, daughter-in-law Frances Perkins and sister-in-law Ruby Kirkpatrick, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and cousins. Muriel was a faithful member of Patterson United Church and was employed as the Post Mistress for 27 years. She was a member of UCW, Choir, Ladies Aid, Hospital Aid, LOBA and she was a church steward. She is predeceased by her husband Neal A. Perkins, her parents Alma Jones and Alfred Kirkpatrick, one son Dale Perkins, one sister Verna Stewart, two brothers Clifford and Leland Kirkpatrick. Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home for visitations on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. Funeral service will be from Patterson United Church on Saturday February 21, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Mark Hatfield officiating. Interment in the spring. You may express your sympathy by making a donation to the Alzheimer's Association, Patterson United Church or the charity of your choice. Arrangements are in the care of Sunbury Funeral Home, Central Blissville, N.B. (368-2413).
