McGOWAN, PAUL D. - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on February 19, 2004, Paul Douglas McGowan of Maces Bay, husband of Alice (MacDonald) McGowan. Born in Saint John the son of Jack McGowan and the late Connie (Leroy) McGowan. Paul was a self employed fisherman and he was a church warden at Trinity Anglican Church, Maces Bay. Paul was a loving friend to all and his garage was referred to as McGowan's Coffee Shop. Surviving in addition to his wife Alice and his father Jack are two sons Craig and his wife Amy and Carl all of Maces Bay, two sisters Carol Anne Smythe and her husband David of Miramichi, Catherine Shea and her husband Michael of Maces Bay and three grandchildren Page, Luke and Jillian and several nieces and nephews. Resting at the Trinity Anglican Church, Maces Bay. Funeral service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, Maces Bay on Sunday February 22, 2004 at 2 pm. Interment in Maces Bay Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the Seafarer's Mission of Saint John would be appreciated by the family.
