MARTIN, ANNIE EVELYN It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Annie Evelyn Martin (McGuire) who passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on February 27, 2004 surrounded by her four children and her sister. Born in Nackawic on October 9, 1911, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Emma (Essensa) McGuire. Annie lived for most of her life in Nackawic and then made her home with her daughters in Fredericton and Sussex. She is survived by daughters, Mary Williams (Robert), Riverview, Wanda Christie (late George Christie), Fredericton, and Linda Walker (Brian), Sussex; a son Frank Martin (Carol), Nackawic; grandchildren Angela Williams (Will Kealy), Mark Williams (Julie), Karen Stern (David), Lisa Sullivan (Stephen), Trina Kitchen (Michel Coté), Sean Kitchen, Wayne Christie, Ryan Walker, Michael Walker, Danielle Walker, Jeremy Walker; great grandchildren Michael and Victoria Jones and Rylee Coté; her sister, Viola Davidson, Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. Annie was predeceased by her husband, John W. Martin on January 28, 1978, a sister, Kathaleen McGuire, a brother Earle McGuire, a sister-in-law, Annetta McGuire, a brother-in-law, Albert Davidson and a son-in-law, George A. Christie. Visitation was held on Sunday at Flewelling Funeral Home, Nackawic. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, 199 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Monday, March 1, 2004 at 11 a.m. by Fr. Dan Melanson. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Interment will be later at St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Davidson, Nellie Horncastle, Barbara McLaughlin, Marie Sullivan, Linda Lackie and Colleen Fair. Active pallbearers will be Michael Martin, Gary Martin, Michael Davidson, Willard Davidson, Neil McCarthy and Claude Roy. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Annie, the family has suggested St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
