WHEELER, RUSS PRICE The death of Russ Price Wheeler of Boiestown, occurred suddenly at home on March 3, 2004. Born in Priceville, NB, he was a son of the late Melvin J. and Edith D. (Price) Munn. Mr. Wheeler was a professional singer, and entertainer, a member of Miramichi Board of Trade, the Royal Canadian Legion Normandy Branch #78, Boiestown, and the New Brunswick Film Co-op. He enjoyed writing music and telling tales about his beautiful Miramichi. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Munn; two daughters, Melissa Munn (Al Larsen) of Terrace, BC and Lenore Watling (Scott Fitzgerald) of Newmarket, ON; two grandchildren, Bradley Watling (Lee Ann) and Sara Watling; two sisters, Edith Symonds (Fraser) of Noonan, NB and Flossie Lovelace (Lawrence) of Taxis River, NB; sister-in-law Norma Bruce; three brothers, James Munn, Carl Bruce (Joyce) and Lawrence Bruce all of Taxis River, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Elsie Curtis and Kathleen Getson; two brothers, Perley Munn and Blake Bruce. Visitation will take place at the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, on Friday evening from 7 to 9 pm and Saturday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Legion Service will take place at 7 pm Saturday. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2004 at 2 pm from the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home with Rev. Cole Price and Rev. Jonathan McLeod officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Bloomfield Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service are: Bill Mullen, George Crawford, Lawnie Price, Harry Pond, Sean Bruce and Draper Bruce. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Russ Wheeler Memorial Bursary Fund for the Performing Arts would be appreciated by the family.
