MORIN, George Henry - of St. Thomas and formerly of Sudbury, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008 at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 80th year. Dearly loved husband of Margaret (Dorko) Morin and loved father of Judy Morin of Columbus, Frank (Kathy) Morin of Burlington, Mike (Karen) Morin of Grimsby and Rob (Sue) Morin of St. Thomas. Loved grandfather of Sarah (Mike), Matthew (Michelle), Stephanie, Justin, Courtney, Mackenna and Madison and great grandfather of Samuel. Dear brother of Jean Greorchuk (late Fred) of Garson, Elaine (Roland) Lamarche of Garson. Predeceased by 4 brothers Reginald, Ronald (late Verlie) Morin, Harold Morin, Raymond (late Vivian). Dear brother in law of Cheryl Morin. George was born in Sudbury on October 18, 1929, the son of the late George and Claudia (Walker) Morin. He worked for I.N.C.O. over 38 years. He moved to St. Thomas in 2006. George was a member of St. Anne's Church and was in the Knights of Columbus. He had been an avid curler and was Past President of the Copper Cliff Curling Club and a former member of the Seniors Championship Team of Northern Ontario. Resting at WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas until Saturday morning and then to St. Anne's Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Angels' Cemetery. Visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Friday evening at 8:30 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. 11345952
