YOUNG, Colin Alexander - In loving memory of Colin Alexander Young 72 years, who passed away Saturday, December 6th, 2008 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital-St. Joseph Health Center. Born in Sudbury, Colin taught with the Rainbow School Board for 30 years, at Nickel District Secondary School and he retired from Confederation Secondary School. He was a skilled and caring educator. Colin introduced the 30 Hour Famine at Confederation in 1990. This unique learning experience has helped feed hungry children around the world. Colin was a true blue, Toronto Maple Leafs Fan. The light of his life was, always the love of family especially, the apple of his eye, his grandchildren. Beloved husband of Marilyn (Kovolchuk) Young of Sudbury. Loving father of Colleen and Jennifer (husband Denis Lanteigne). Cherished grandfather of Justin and Jordan. Loving son of William and Grace Young both predeceased. Dear brother of Jean (husband Earl Basso), Stuart (wife Bonnie) and Gordon (wife Anita). Sadly missed by uncle Jim and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family wish to thank Dr. E. MacCallum, the St. Joseph Site Emergency Department and 4th Floor staff for their excellent care and compassion. Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Funeral Service in Church of the Epiphany, 85 Larch St., Saturday, December 13th, 2008 at 11 am. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium.
