Retired Executive Director, Canadian Red Cross (Ottawa-Carleton) Peacefully in hospital, January 31, 2002 after a long battle with illness, at the age of 82. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Marie O'Malley and infant son Joseph. Leaving to mourn her is her beloved husband Ernest. Loving mother of Julia (Dick), Hilary (Terry) and Greg (Michaela). Cherished grandmother of David, Diana, Bryan, Alexander and Elena. Dear sister of Marie O'Malley. Sincere thanks for the compassionate care of the VON, the staff of Colonel By Retirement Residence and staff of the Ottawa Hospital General Campus. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 585 Somerset St. (centretown) Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. A private family Funeral Service to follow at a later time.
