In hospital, Pembroke on Thursday, January 31, 2002 in his 82nd year. Walter Laughren of Deep River, beloved husband of Doris Laughren (nee Gload). Dear father of Jim Laughren (wife Arlene), Elliott Lake; and Debbie Mecke (husband Joe), Deep River. Predeceased by son Kirby Laughren. Grandfather to 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Son of the late James and Margaret Laughren (nee Kirby). Brother of Wyman Laughren, Pembroke. Predeceased by sister Sarah Laughren and brother Garnet Laughren. Visitation at the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River on Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Service in the Chapel on Monday at 2 p.m. Interment in Deep River Community Cemetery.
