Passed away at the age of eighty-seven at the Charles Le Moyne Hospital on February 2, 2002. Beloved husband of Zofia. Michal Michniewicz was a veteran of the Polish Air Force with the RAF in Great Britain during World War II as a Fighter Pilot, Rank of Major, with the 318 Fighter Squadron. Decorated with the Silver Cross Virtuti Militari and twice with the Cross of Valour, as well as the Air Force Medal and many others. He will be sadly missed by his friends and members of the 310 RCAFA Polish Wing of Montreal. Visitation at Collins Clarke Funeral Home, 5610 Sherbrooke Street West at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2002, memorial service at 3 p.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
