Peacefully at Ottawa General Hospital on February 7, 2002, age 79 years. Beloved wife of Benedict Tanguay Sr. Dear mother of Ben Jr. (Shelley Kippen), Ron (Marilyn McGuire), Robert, Pat, Judy (George Jewell) and Jayne (Curtis Gant). Predeceased by son James. Loving grandmother of 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also predeceased by her sister Yolande Maxwell and four brothers, Kemmis, Basil, Bruce and Ormond Elliott. Friends may call at the W.J. Hayes & Sons Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Friday, February 8, 2002, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday, February 9, to St. James Roman Catholic Church, Portage du Fort, Quebec, for Mass at 2 p.m. Spring interment in parish cemetery.
