Died peacefully in his sleep, on Monday February 11, 2002 at the age of eighty-six years. Beloved husband of the late Charlotte McCreath. Wonderful father and father-in-law of Linda (Alan Etherington), Kathryn (Paul Mongraw) and Diane (Jack Goldsmith). Cherished grandpa of Amy, Caitlin, Daniel, Jana, Johanna and Ellen. Many thanks to the staff of October House. A private cremation has taken place. The family invites friends and relatives to gather to celebrate Douglas's life on Saturday February 16, 2002 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Diane's house.
