Peacefully February 11, 2002, at Goodwin House in her ninety-second year. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Lois was the cherished daughter of the late Charles Rowe and Isabella Savage, and dear sister of the late Harold Rowe. She will be fondly remembered by her godson, Stephen Digby and his family (Toronto), Bach family (Ottawa), and grand-nieces Kathleen (Calgary) and Maureen and grand-nephew Stephen (Toronto), as well as by her many colleagues and friends who enjoyed and admired her quick mind and dignified manner. Lois was a dedicated employee of Dominion Textile Ltd. for forty-four years, an activist for the Seniors of Westmount Action Group (SWAG), a choir singer with a pet parrot, a traveller, a member of the Women's Art Society and a devoted member of the Unitarian Church of Montreal. A memorial service will be held at the Church, 5035 de Maisonneuve Blvd. West, Montreal (Metro Vendome) on Wednesday, February 27, 2002, at 2 p.m. Interment of ashes at the Mount Royal Cemetery Sculpture Garden. Donations to the Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Many thanks to the caring staff at Manoir Westmount and Goodwin House. The Montreal Gazette, 15-02-2002
