Suddenly in Cancun, Mexico on Wednesday, February 20, 2002. Beloved spouse of Haifa, dear brother of Nadia Haddad (Ottawa), Ernesto (Uruguay), Genevieve and Joseph (Lebanon). Mr. Sader was a very active member of the Lebanese Community in Ottawa. He was editor and publisher of the L'Orient Magazine, a publication which kept Lebanon alive in the heart of the community. He received the Commemorative Medal for the 125th anniversary of Confederation of Canada from the Governor General. In 1999 he was the recipient of the Mayor's Award in recognition for his services to the community. He received other awards and acknowledgments for his outstanding contributions to his city and countrymen. He will be greatly missed by all, including many nieces and nephews around the world. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Saturday, February 23, from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St Charbel Maronite Roman Catholic Church on Monday, February 25 at 11 a.m. Donations to St Charbel Maronite Roman Catholic Church, 245 Donald Street or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
