Beloved husband of Lillis Stitt (nee Denault). Dear father of Truman Stitt (wife Maureen), Richmond; Judith McGuire (husband Gerry), Kirkland Lake; Douglas Stitt (wife Carolyn), Lapasse; Brenda Gagne (husband Mike, Pembroke; and Tammy Gauthier (husband Gilles), Barrhaven. Dear grandfather to Ian and Jason Stitt; Shawn and Shannon McGuire; Shelley Stitt-Videto, Shane and Jody Stitt; Trevor Gagne; and Jessica and Alyssa Gauthier. Great-grandfather to Mariah & Kierra; Madisson and Jayden; and Kristianna. Brother to Merle Pleau (late husband Ishmael), Renfrew; Phyllis Haley (husband Bob), Ottawa; Ellard Stitt (wife Fran), Erinsville; Garry Stitt (wife Elaine), Ottawa; Dawson Stitt (wife Lynn), Renfrew; and Linda Pierce (husband Bill), Orillia. Predeceased by his brothers Merton (Bodie) and Billy Stitt; and by his parents John and May Stitt (nee Desjardins). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Service in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Fort Coulonge on Friday at 2 p.m. Spring interment in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Cemetery, Fort Coulonge.
