Kenneth E. CHRISTMAS

Lt. Cmdr. R.C.N.V.R. (Retired). Passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2002. He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Griselda (Archibald), and daughters Gillian (Sissons), Dana (Wessel), Victoria (Fowler), Martha (Lloyd-Smith) and son Ernest, as well as twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He served in the "Wavy Navy" for the duration of WW II, mostly in corvettes on North Atlantic convoy duty. After the war he joined Canada Envelope Company and rose to be President and General Manager before retiring in 1974 to live in Victoria. He enjoyed year-round golf and tennis and greatly loved the ocean and walking on the beach. Ken was a man of exceptional honesty, integrity and independence, and will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. His life will be celebrated at a private memorial service, to be held at a later date. The Montreal Gazette, 09-03-2002
