After a long illness, Mary Kumm (nee Behan), passed away peacefully on March 12, 2002 at the age of 89. Predeceased by her husband Omar, her sister Margaret LaBelle, and brothers James and William Behan. She is survived by her daughter Mrs. June McLeish (Ian), her grandchildren, Allana, Valerie, Christopher, Wyatt, Eila, Wilson, and their respective families. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her, her friends, relatives, and extended family. At Mary's request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held in Ottawa on Friday, March 15, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at The Whelan Funeral Home, 515 Cooper Street (between Bay and Lyon). Interment to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery on Baseline Road. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the wonderful caring staff at Longfields Manor in Barrhaven.
